Spencer Klavan is the host of the Young Heretics podcast, an associate editor of the Claremont Review of Books, and the author of the soon-to-be-released How to Save the West (Regnery Publishing).
Mr. Klavan is well-known as the son of Andrew Klavan. He began his career as a crime writer named Keith Peterson. In addition to The Scarred Man, his debut work of psychological suspense, he wrote four John Wells mysteries featuring a newspaper reporter who solves crimes.
Klavan has produced several satirical online video series, including Klavan on the Culture for PJ Media, The Revolting Truth for TruthRevolt, and A Very Serious Commentary for Glenn Beck’s Blaze Media.

After finishing his education, he began his career as a Senior Interviewer at Yale University Admissions.
Before accepting a research assistant position, he spent two years in the Yale University Classics Department. He was in charge of conducting literature searches, data management, and recruiting participants, among other things.

Spencer was born in the United Kingdom to Andrew Klavan and Ellen Flanagan. He grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, with his sister Faith Moore.

Spencer recently married his long-term partner, Joshua Herr. He works as the Daily Wire’s general counsel, and the couple dated for a while before getting hitched.
The editor announced their marriage in an Instgaram post. He captioned the photo of him and Joshua kissing, “Oh, I don’t deserve to be so happy. But I can’t stop myself. I just can’t stop myself.”
