Darragh Lyons and Jack Cummins, both 18 years old, have been granted bail with strict conditions after being charged with attacking a teenage girl and her friend who was seriously injured in Dublin last week.
A judge ordered Jack Cummin and Darragh to obey curfews, which will be monitored by garda.
The 17-year-old girl, who cannot be identified because she is a minor, and a male adolescent were both hospitalized following an assault in west Dublin at around 9.40 p.m. on December 30.
On Thursday, Garda conducted searches and arrested the two defendants.
They were charged and held overnight at Ballyfermot station.

Co-defendant Jack Cummins of Rossmore Road, Ballyfermot, Dublin, was charged with causing bodily harm to a minor.
Ms. Quinn Idris suffered a ruptured eyeball and cheek and eye socket fractures. She also had her teeth broken and a large wound just below her injured eye.

Last night, an online fundraising campaign set up to help the 17-year-old and her injured friend had raised €80,000.
The young man she was with, who was stabbed in the arm, has also been released from the hospital.
A group assaulted the two after they alighted from a bus around 9.30 p.m.

Ms. Quinn Idris and a friend were verbally abused on their way from the Liffey Valley shopping center to Ballyfermot. When they got off the bus, other youths from various directions arrived, and the attack took place.

Darragh Lyons and Jack Cummins, both 18, appeared this morning in Dublin District Court.
Judge Michael Walsh granted them bail under strict conditions and adjourned the cases pending the DPP’s instructions.

Mr. Lyons, of Weir View, Glenaulin, Chapelizod, is accused of assaulting the girl on December 30, while Mr. Cummins, of Rossmore Road, Ballyfermot, is charged with assaulting the boy.
The girl sustained severe facial injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Following searches, the accused were apprehended yesterday morning and charged last night before appearing in court today.
