Ashley Kewish Females of Fitness

Kewish used to eat whatever she wanted, not exercise, and never felt affected. After having two babies she ended up about 30 pounds heavier than she felt comfortable with, and about two and a half years ago she just decided she was done. Ashley was sick of having no energy, not fitting in her old clothes, and finding herself low on confidence, which is a real problem when you’re constantly on camera.

Kewish knew she needed to take charge of this negative part of her life immediately. She started moving and running 3-4 times a week, and she stopped eating all her feelings and started cleaning up her diet.

In the beginning, she couldn’t even run for 5 minutes. As the weeks went by, her running time gradually increased and the weight started falling off. She ended up losing about 35 pounds total and my confidence soared.

Kewish was one of those people who absolutely used to dread that dumb mile run back in middle school. Never in a million years did she think she would ever be able to run a half-marathon, and now she has finished two.

She’s not competitive with anyone except herself when she’s running. When she was training for those races her only goal was to run the entire time without stopping, she just wanted to prove to myself that she could do it.  Her first half took me 2:08 and the second she finished at 2:02. Her next goal is to finish under two hours. As long as her legs still work, you’ll find her running.
