Ashley Callingbull husband Wacey Rabbit is a retired professional hockey player. Wacey currently works as the assistant coach for the Saskatoon Blades.

The former player joined Saskatoon Blades as an assistant coach on June 27, 2022. He further acts as a team ambassador for the Blades.

The Blades are an ice hockey team that plays in the Western Hockey League, a major junior ice hockey league in Western Canada and Northwestern USA. 

Rabbit was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, on November 16, 1986. The Canadian made his major junior debut in the year 2004/05 in the Western Hockey League (WHL).

The athlete’s professional career began in 2006 with the Providence Bruins club of the American Hockey League (AHL).

After his contract with Providence expired in 2009, the Hockey player was signed by the Nashville Predators AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals.

The 36-year-old has traveled around the world and played for different national leagues during his professional career, including the Croatian team KHL Medvescak of the Erste Bank Hockey league, Florida Panthers AHL affiliate the San Antonio Rampage, Norwegian club Lorenskog IK of the GET-ligaen, and Japanese club Nippon Paper Cranes of the Asia League Ice Hockey.

Following his retirement as a professional hockey player in 2021, the sportsman tilted towards coaching. He worked as an assistant coach of the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the British Columbia Hockey League before joining the Saskatoon Blades in 2022.

The former player was joined by his wife, Ashley, during the welcome ceremony from the Blades.

Speaking to Global News, the actress said that being associated with the Blades has provided her opportunity to work with women and children in the communities.

Ashley Callingbull and Wacey Rabbit tied the knot on September 12, 2021. The couple is currently living in Saskatoon, Canada.

Callingbull announced her engagement to hockey player Wacey Rabbit in June 2021. Only three months after the announcement, the couple exchanged the vows to be together. 

The wedding ceremony was held in Mohkinstsis, Treaty 7 Territory, southern Alberta. The 33-year-old shared the wonderful news via her Instagram on September 14, 2021, and wrote ‘just two souls that were meant to be together.”
