Mildred Patricia Baena came to light when her son, Joseph Baena’s biological father emerged to be the American bodybuilder, film actor, and former politician, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Mildred is a former housekeeper of Arnold’s family.
Early life, family, educational background
Mildred Patricia Baena, known by her nickname Patty, was born on 1 March 1961, in Guatemala with Latin ethnicity, and now holds both American and Guatemalan nationality. No details are known regarding the important information from her childhood including the names of her parents as well as their professions, whether she has any siblings, and even her educational background, as she has been maintaining privacy up until now.
Career
Mildred was said to be Arnold’s assistant, and also worked as the famous actor’s family housekeeper for more than 20 years. She voluntarily retired in January 2011 after Maria Shriver, Arnold’s wife, confronted her directly before Christmas of 2010 as she suspected Mildred and Arnold of having their love child.
Arnold rose to fame through his roles in some blockbuster action movies such as “Conan the Barbarian” (1982), “The Terminator” (1984), and Total Recall (1990). He’s also an Austrian, now American bodybuilder, and even became a politician who served as Governor of California (2003 – 2011).
While Arnold’s ex-wife, Maria (the niece of the late President John F. Kennedy, and fourth cousin of tennis player Pam Shriver), is an American television journalist, known as a reporter for the National Broadcasting Company (NBC). Maria is also an author of numerous children’s book, and is a philanthropist involved in charity and volunteer work.
Joseph is following the profession of his father as a bodybuilder and an actor, at the same time is an athlete, an Instagram star, and a trainer. Joseph also made an appearance in the movie “Terminator 2: Bad to the Bone”, released in 2016.
Personal life
Mildred married Rogelio Baena on 14 November 1987, and they had been together for more than 20 years before actually divorcing in 2008 citing irreconcilable differences. After retiring in January 2011, as Arnold’s family housekeeper for 20 years, she became known to the public a few months later in May 2011, when it was revealed that she and Arnold had a love child, Joseph, born on 2 October 1997. For fourteen years, Mildred hid the truth. She even listed her then-husband as the boy’s father on his birth certificate, but in the end, the boy’s physical similarities were too tough to ignore, as he strongly resembled his real father.
In Mildred’s interview for “Hello!” magazine, she said that Maria clearly suspected the truth as early as the summer of 2010 – ‘She would say things like, ‘I’m here if you need to talk.’ I sensed something was up. I have so much love and respect for Maria.’ She added that Maria finally confronted her directly before Christmas of 2010. Mildred said that she burst into tears, dropped on her knees, and confessed everything. She said referring to Maria, ‘She was so strong. She cried with me and told me to get off my knees. We held each other and I told her it wasn’t Arnie’s fault, that it takes two.’
She also told “Hello!” magazine that Joseph only knew about his father’s identity about a year ago, while Arnold himself learned the full truth only recently, she then added ‘I knew Arnold was the father, and maybe as Joseph got older and began to look like him, he (Arnold) wondered. But he never said anything to me.’
Following the news, Arnold admitted that he fathered a child with the former housekeeper. He took full responsibility with the statement ‘I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this difficult time. While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not.’
This revelation apparently led to the break-up of his long time marriage to Maria, who then filed for divorce in July 2011.
Mildred’s life now remains private and is now living in Bakersfield, California, apparently with her son and her boyfriend named Alex Aguilar.
News reported that Arnold and Mildred both attended Joseph’s college graduation ceremony from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California, on April 2019, although apparently keeping their distance from one another, and taking separate pictures with Joseph.
Many years after Mildred’s affair with Arnold, their love child,Joseph shared photos of himself with his mother on his Instagram account. paying tribute to her on Mother’s Day of 2020.
Appearance, clothing style
Mildred has golden brown hair and a pair of dark brown eyes. Other information cannot be obtained as she is not active on any social media platforms.
Net worth and salary
There is no available financial information regarding the net worth of Mildred, as she hasn’t disclosed any of it, but in an interview on “ABC News”, Arnold said that he will take care of his son, Joseph, and Mildred financially. Rumors spread that in 2010 Arnold put down a hefty deposit of $65,000 to help Mildred buy the house in Bakersfield.
As Mildred retired as a housekeeper, she told the ‘LA Times’ that she received severance payment, and left on good terms with Arnold’s family. Arnold’s wealth is reputedly over $400 million, as of early 2021.
Arnold is also believed to be very generous with Joseph, giving him gifts like a $30,000 Jeep, and paying the bills for the son’s tuition. As Joseph has started his own career, he is now apparently earning a handsome amount of money, especially when he played in the movie “Terminator 2: Back to the Bone” in 2016.
