After a five-year investigation, Steven DeMocker, 60, was sentenced in Yavapai County Superior Court to first-degree murder and six other convictions.
An Arizona stockbroker convicted of killing his ex-wife was sentenced Friday to life in prison. The presiding judge described it as a “brutal, gruesome crime” that he will never forget.
Prosecutors claimed DeMocker bludgeoned Carol Kennedy with a golf club at the Prescott-area home the two once shared. He shattered her skull and then staged the scene to make it appear accidental.
