Are Paul And Ringo Starr Still Friends?

After more than six decades of friendship, it’s evident that Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, two former members of The Beatles, are still as close as ever. Their enduring bond was on display at a recent event in Los Angeles honoring McCartney’s daughter, Stella McCartney, a renowned fashion designer.

Ringo Starr, 82, took to Twitter to share their joyful reunion at the Stella McCartney rollerskating party. In a brief video clip, the two music legends can be seen greeting each other warmly before dancing together to the tune of Candi Staton’s 1976 disco hit, “Young Hearts Run Free.”

The event, which took place on February 2, was hosted by Stella McCartney to celebrate her 18-year partnership with Adidas. The star-studded gathering featured a DJ, live performers, and an immersive roller-skating experience by L.A Roller Girls. Among the notable attendees was Julian Lennon, the son of the late John Lennon.

This recent rendezvous is not the first time Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have been seen together. They also made a joint appearance at the London premiere of the Disney Original Documentary’s “If These Walls Could Sing” at Abbey Road Studios on December 12. Their close friendship extends beyond public appearances, as they revealed in various interviews that they stay in touch regularly. In fact, Ringo mentioned during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel in 2021 that they even FaceTime each other frequently. Additionally, they recently had the opportunity to spend time together in person while having dinner with their wives and Olivia Harrison, the widow of George Harrison.

In a candid interview with the Associated Press about his 2021 EP “Change the World,” Ringo Starr expressed how grateful he was for the enduring friendship he shares with Paul McCartney. McCartney even contributed his vocals to one of the tracks on Ringo’s EP, titled “Here’s to the Nights.” Starr emphasized that being an only child, The Beatles gave him three lifelong brothers.

The connection they forged as members of one of the most iconic bands in history remains a significant source of peace and love for Ringo Starr. While he still misses John Lennon and George Harrison, he cherishes his continued friendship and support from Paul McCartney. Their unwavering bond serves as a testament to the lasting power of their musical legacy and the genuine camaraderie they share.
