Are Nigella Lawson’s recipes good?
Nigella Lawson’s recipes are so exquisitely written that they are suitable for reading in bed, and she is the queen of simple cookery made delicious. Not least of all due to their simplicity in preparation and inclusion of that extra special something, her time-tested recipes have become classics.
When Nigella’s Christmas Kitchen, a three-part cooking program, was announced for BBC Two on December 6, 2006, Lawson was hired to host it. The show aired once a week. For BBC Two, the first episode debuted with a robust 3.5 million viewers, and the first two episodes garnered the second-best ratings of the week.
The White House Executive Chef Cristeta Comerford and Iron Chef Bobby Flay faced up against chef Emeril Lagasse and Iron Chef Mario Batali in a special Iron Chef America competition dubbed “The Super Chef Battle,” with Lawson serving as one of the three judges. On January 3, 2010, this episode had its initial airing.
