Creighton Lebos’ father, Jeffrey Brian Lebo, is a former basketball player and assistant coach for his alma school, North Carolina. Lebo was born in the Pennsylvania town of Carlisle. He started playing for his father at Carlisle High School, where he was a McDonald’s All-American as a high school player.
Later, the elder Lebo would work as an adviser to his son at Auburn. Lebo was a four-year starter for the hall of fame coach Dean Smith at North Carolina University for three years.
He was an assistant coach at East Tennessee State and South Carolina Vanderbilt before becoming the head coach. He also served as an assistant coach with the Greensboro Swarm of the G League.
