For the first time, Ashton Kutcher has discussed the rape accusations against his pal Danny Masterson.
Masterson, who co-starred in the movies “The Ranch” and “That ’70s Show” with Kutcher, was accused of raping three women in 2020.
Masterson entered a not guilty plea in 2021 and was given a sentence of 45 years to life. A mistrial was ruled in November by the court, and a new trial has been scheduled for March.
Kutcher stated in a Tuesday edition of Esquire interview that he wanted Masterson “to be found innocent of the charges brought against him.”
Kutcher made it clear that he wants his friend to be proven innocent, not to get away with a crime.
Are Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson still friends?
Masterson and Kutcher have a long friendship that has endured despite the claims. Kutcher said to Esquire that Masterson has been a mentor to him ever since “That ’70s Show” first gained popularity in 1998.
