Arcade Fire Allegations On Reddit, Fans Enraged Over Win Butler’s Actions

According to the report by Pitchfork, Win Butler, a member of the Arcade Fire band, is accused of causing misconduct by four women. Of the four, all of them were huge fans of the band.

Arcade Fire is a popular band known for its indie rock hits of all time. Starting with a disorganized group, it went on to become the winner of a Grammy for Album of the Year in 2011.

Win Butler is the lead singer-guitarist for the band. After several women reported misconduct, he has finally spoken about it. The lead singer agrees that he had an intimate relationship with the accusers but denies the allegations of causing inappropriate behavior toward them.

According to the women between the ages of 18 and 23, their physical encounters with the musician were unacceptable given their age differences and the circumstances surrounding them. Win Butler was between the ages of 38 and 39 when the incident occurred, according to Pitchfork.

After the women reported the misconduct, many people on Twitter came forward in support of the four accusers.

On the other hand, the fans were enraged after knowing about the incident and showed their anger through their tweets.

One of the fans was disgusted and tweeted, “This sucks! Arcade Fire was a band that was very meaningful to me at a formative time in my life! “Dudes, please stop ruining your own music for me by being disgusting!”

Some of them even talked about returning the tickets for the next show, which was going to happen on Tuesday night. The tweet says, “FUCK, Arcade Fire was my favorite band. Their music picked me up during a dark time. I have tickets for Tuesday night…won’t be going. “Fuck Win Butler.”

Who Is Win Butler Married To? His Wife

Win Butler is a married man. He is married to a singer-songwriter and musical instrumentalist, Régine Chassagne.

They were more bonded through music. In 2000, they initially linked up at an art opening where they first met. Later, she was approached by and became a member of Arcade Fire.

The couple tied the knot in 2003, as Britannica reports. After ten years of marriage, the couple’s son, Edwin Farnham Butler IV, was born.

Along with Chassagne, Butler took part in the “Do They Know It’s Halloween?” UNICEF charity project in 2005. They also worked together on the score for The Box, a movie starring Richard Kelly.

Regina studied jazz voice at McGill University. She is endowed with many talents and plays different musical instruments on stage.

Regarding the current incident, she came out with statements in support of her husband.

Win Butler Net Worth

The famous singer-guitarist, Win Butler, has an estimated net worth of $8 million.

Over his twenty-year-long musical career, he has collected a huge amount of wealth as a songwriter, singer, musician, and multi-instrumentalist.

However, the current accusation could take a toll on his wealth. Several tweets that are currently trending on Twitter show that his admirers have already begun to lose interest in the band.

One of the tweets reads, “Arcade Fire was a really important band to me. Not anymore. Win Butler can go fuck himself. I believe and feel for the women he assaulted. “Abusers hiding behind charity and goodwill make my blood boil.”

This will certainly affect the net worth he currently has.
