Announcers For Nickelodeon NFL game are Noah Engle, Nate Burleson, Gabrielle Nevaeh Green, and Bill Fagerbakke with his “Patrick” voice.
They announced the previous season’s NFL simulcast on Nickelodeon and will probably return this year. This is just a calculated guess, the official list of announcers is yet to be made public by the channel.
CBS and Nick are sister Networks. This year, the network partnering with the NFL decided to expand its traditional game coverage and telecast to the alternate audience of Nickelodeon.
The duo concept is already a proven successful partnership. In previous years, the coverage version of the younger and family audiences had won the channel sports Emmy two times, one for Excellent Playoff Coverage and Exceptional Live Graphic Design.
It was for Nickelodeon’s revolutionary sports telecast of the NFL’s Super Wild Card Football games during the Super Wild Card weekend. Nickelodeon has been featuring selected football matches in the Nickelodeon NFL Nickmas Game for four years. This year as well is no exception.
NFL Nickelodeon Commentators
Bill Fagerbakke provided live commentary to the NFL Nickelodeon Games in the voice of “Patrick Star” in the previous season.
Bill, with his cartoon character, joined Noah Engle, Nate Burleson, Gabrielle Nevaeh Green, and Young Dylan on 25 December, 4:30 p.m. ET live from Bikini Bottom.
We can expect him to return this year as well but the official commentators list is yet to be released. Fagerbakke has been the voice of Pattrick for the past 22 years and he says that the character still makes him laugh a lot.
On the 2022 Christmas Day Nickelodeon’s NFL Nickmas Sunday Games Fagerbakke and “Patrick” made their debut as the newest element in the sportscasting history and provided live commentary to the third NFL game in Nickelodeon.
The exceptional voice artist has actually played professional college football for the University of Idaho which ended with his knee injury during a game. The “Patrick” seems to have quiet knowledge of football.
He says, “I’ve been a football fan since 1969 when the Los Angeles Rams won their first 11 games with Roman Gabriel, Merlin Olsen, Deacon Jones, Jack Snow, and all those guys. I became hooked then and obviously, I got to play through junior high and high school and a couple of years of college”.
The cartoon character’s role in the broadcast of Nick’s games came as the biggest mystery. Even he himself didn’t know what was to be done once the game starts. But “Patrick” soon handled the commentary in such a fun and laughable way that enriched the channel with expected young viewers.
When asked about what he was going to do in the game, Bill said, “Maybe they should give me a shock collar or something in case I say something they don’t wanna hear, they can just press the button.”
If the network decides to return him this year as well then no doubt, the channel will record another few sentences of history this season as well.
What NFL Game Is On Nickelodeon?
The Christmas Day Games between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023 and Super Bowl LVIII will be on Nickelodeon.
The partnership between CBS and Nickelodeon to broadcast the NFL games is not new. However, Nick only telecasted a single game each season in the previous year.
The first game telecasted through the channel date back to the 2020 NFC Wild Card Game. The average number of viewers during the game reached 2 million and the game aired last Christmas got 906,000 viewers.
The Kidscaster and CBS are both a part of Paramount which has a long-term right deal with the NFL until the 2033 season. This year’s season will be the fourth collaboration year between the two channel networks.
NFL Nickelodeon schedule 2023 starts on December 25, 2023.
| Games | Date and Time |
| Week 16 matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders | December 25, 2023, Monday, 1 p.m. ET |
| Super Bowl LVIII | February 11, 2024 |
The games on Nickelodeon are going to be fun to watch as they will come with special graphical effects usually targeting younger audiences and families.
League broadcasting hadn’t seen anything like what happened during the 2021 season NFL playoffs between the Dallas Cowboys and San Fransisco 49ers. A gargantuan neon-green, 40-foot-tall slime monster rose from the AT&T Stadium ground.
None of the players or attendees seemed scared as this was the graphical-live addition of effect to catch the attention of kids, the targeted viewers. There wasn’t any monster on the field, we all knew that.
The concept looks entertaining but it came out for a broad and deep motive. The main reason to target such kids to engage in football is that the children are the future’s serious audience of American professional football and might lose their interest in the game growing up.
So to catch up with their will towards the game in the most entertaining way possible, the concept of slime-casting popped up among the broadcasting Network.
As a kid, what do you love to do most? Most of us will answer the question “I like to make mess.” That is what the channel has been doing. It made lots of messes inside the game graphically and that attracted the Kids and their parents to the matches.
The messier it gets, the more fun it is to watch. The slime of colors growls out of a pump in every score.

NFL Wild Card on Nickelodeon is not decided yet. But given the past history of the playoffs, the channel might feature one of the WC round games.
On January 15 this year, During the WC weekend, Nick telecasted one of the Sunday Games between the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills at 1:00 p.m. ET.
This was the third straight year of CBS simulcasting the playoff games on Nickelodeon with added eye-popping animations at the endzones and throughout the field. The alternate broadcast is already a trend-setting introduction of kids-favorite mess-making visual effects.
The slime-filled endzones and cartoon characters such as Spongebob Squarepants among others have played exceptional roles in bringing in alternate audiences to the channel and adding to the viewerships.
