Anne Lloyd Francis, popularly known as Anne Francis, was an American actress, famously known for her role in the science fiction film Forbidden Planet in 1956 and for having starred in the television series Honey West from 1965 to 1966.

This was the first TV series with a female detective character’s name in the title. Anne won a Golden Globe Award and was proposed for an Emmy Award for her role in the series.

Anne Francis Death

In 2007, she was diagnosed with lung cancer. On her website, she kept her followers informed about it. On 2 January 2011, Anne died from complications due to pancreatic cancer at a retirement home in Santa Barbara, California. Her body was cremated and her ashes scattered at sea.
