Anna Passey is an English actress best known for portraying Sienna Blake in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks. She is also known for, A Landscape of Lies – Directors Cut (2011) and Two Days in the Smoke (2014).
She won the “Villain of the Year” award at The British Soap Awards 2014 for her role as Sienna. Passey was also nominated for “Most Popular Newcomer” at the 2014 National Television Awards. She was nominated for “Best Bitch” and “Best Storyline” [Sienna Blake plots to steal Nancy’s life] in 2013 Inside Soap Awards.
Passey was also nominated for “Best Actress” at the British Soap Awards.

Anna started playing the role of Sienna Blake in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks on 21 Novembre 2012. Emily Lawrence was the one who previously cast for the role. Passey later replaced her. Passey was praised by Tina Campbell of the Metro. Tina described Sienna as having various layers to her personality.
Campbell also noted that a backstory consisting of a woman beating father, unhinged mother and long-lost brother left her normality doomed. Campbell also added that despite her (many) flaws, you can’t help but love Sienna” and deemed her Hollyoaks’ best character. She was also described as appearing “sweet and innocent”, but “on the inside, things are far uglier” by Katie Archer of BT.
The web portal MSN.com labeled the character a “barmaid [turned] psychopath”. The viewer’s perception of her changed during her tenure. Passey had told Inside Soap that Sienna gained sympathy following revelations about her long-lost daughter.
Hollyoaks was devised by Phil Redmond, who had also conceived the Channel 4 soap Brookside. At its premiere, it aired just one episode weekly; it now airs five episodes a week. The cast of the show includes, Parry Glasspool, Malique Thompson-Dwyer, Kyle Pryor, Cerith Flinn, Gabriel Lawrence, Brayden Haynes-Mawdsley, Ciara Janson, Krupa Pattani, Lucy-Jo Hudson, and Lauren McQueen.
Hollyoaks has so far won 39 British Soap Awards, 18 Inside Soap Awards, one TRIC Award and one National Television Award. It has also won the award for “Best British Soap” at the British Soap Awards twice, in 2014 and 2019. Hollyoaks’ win in 2014, broke the 15-year draw between rival soaps EastEnders and Coronation Street.

The film received media attention after it was discovered that the film concept was first created as, and was subsequently filmed in an attempt to hide, a hoax by a criminal group to commit tax fraud.
Passey won a Silver Ace Award at the Las Vegas Film Festival. It later rescinded after the festival committee learned of the film’s use in the tax scam. She also starred in Saint Dracula 3D in 2012. The film is written and directed by Rupesh Paul starring Mitch Powell and Ciara Bailey.

Passey also starred in The Smoke directed by Ben Pickering and stars Matt Di Angelo, Lili Bordán, Stephen Marcus and Alan Ford in 2014. She has stated that she was worried on “how Hollyoaks fans would react to her role” as “it’s one of those things, it’s a sex scene in a film and you can’t have sex without being naked” The Smoke was released on 20 October 2014.
