The murder of Wilson was allegedly committed by yoga instructor and realtor Kaitlin Marie Armstrong out of romantic resentment at Wilson’s chance contact with her boyfriend, professional cyclist Colin Strickland.
Armstrong eluded arrest for 43 days before being found in Costa Rica, where investigators said she was attempting to start a new life.

Anna Moriah Wilson Murder Update
Wilson was discovered dead from numerous gunshot wounds on May 11, 2022, “shortly before 10 pm” at a friend’s House in Austin, Texas, where Wilson had been staying before a major race in Hico.
She had gone swimming with Strickland in Deep Eddy Pool, followed by supper, hours before she passed away.
After sending Wilson off, Strickland denied ever entering the home of Wilson’s companion, and after a Police investigation, Strickland was eliminated as a leading suspect.
A search warrant claims that Wilson was shot twice in the head and once in the chest “after she was already laying supine on the floor” and that an autopsy determined her death to be a murder.
After seeing Armstrong’s black Jeep Grand Cherokee on security footage arrive at the Austin home just before the crime, Police identified her as a person of interest. She was detained due to an outstanding theft misdemeanor warrant.
Moriah Wilson Murder Charges Trial And Verdict
Anna Moriah “Mo” Wilson, a famous gravel cyclist, died unexpectedly in the middle of May. Kaitlin Marie Armstrong, accused of killing her, evaded officials until she was apprehended and detained in July.
Although she entered a not-guilty plea, she is still detained pending the trial, which will begin in October 2023.
The trial will ultimately be postponed. According to The Austin American-Statesman, Armstrong’s trial will begin on October 30, 2023, instead of June 26, 2023.
To have more time to find witnesses and other evidence for Armstrong’s defense, defense attorney Rick Cofer asked for a postponement.

Armstrong’s lawyer, Brandy Mueller, said that Armstrong still maintains her innocence and has asked for a speedy trial. The defense stated that they could ask for extra time to gather information and witnesses in the meantime.
Judge Brenda Kennedy denied the defense counsel for Armstrong’s attempts to suppress crucial evidence and witness testimony today.
She instead scheduled the trial’s start date for late June 2023, more than a year after Mo Wilson’s slaying. The trial is scheduled to begin on June 26 after the calling of jurors on June 22.

She has been identified as a certified realtor and yoga instructor. Colin Strickland, a professional cyclist, and Armstrong were romantically involved.
By the time they briefly split up in the fall of 2021, Strickland had already met Wilson and started a fling with her. Later, Armstrong and Strickland would settle their differences and start dating again.
To prevent damaging statements to the media, the prosecution and Armstrong lawyer Rick Cofer said on Wednesday that they had reached an agreement on a gag order. The judge signaled that she would probably approve the order.
On May 11, Wilson’s body was discovered in an Austin shot. She was 25 years old. Wilson and Armstrong, 34, are believed by investigators to have been romantic rivals.
According to the Police, Armstrong’s ex-boyfriend, cyclist Colin Strickland, who has cooperated with the investigation and is not a suspect, was Wilson.
