Angus Young is an Australian guitarist, popularly known as the co-founder, lead guitarist, songwriter and sole permanent member of Australian hard rock band AC/DC. He is known on stage for his outstanding performances and different costumes while playing the guitar. He has received many awards for his performances and has earned a tremendous fortune from his efforts.

Angus Young’s bio
Born Angus Mckinnon Young on March 31, 1995, Angus was born into a poor home in Glasglow, Scotland as a child. Living in Glasgow with his family, he began working as a machine operator for a cement and asbestos processing company at a young age. He also worked as a wheelboy. Regarding his education, Angus attended Ashfield Boys High School but dropped out when he was 15.
Growing into an adult who worked hard for every penny, Angus served as an aircraft engine mechanic with the Royal Air Force during World War II in 1940. When the war ended he worked as a yard man and as a postman. Meanwhile, his family was known for their interest in music as all his brothers had experience playing various musical instruments. For his part, Angus’ hands were a good fit with the guitar and he also had an ear for the right musical rhymes while playing the banjo. Sources say his mother got him his first guitar and he bought a used Gibson SG in 1970 from the few pennies he had saved.
Angus Young’s first experience as a musical artistAside from the combos, he played with his brothers in a group called Katuckee. The group consisted of vocalist Bob McGlynn, bassist Jon Stevens and drummer Trevor James. Unfortunately, the group was disbanded, leading to Young’s decision to join the tantrums. Never playing long with the tantrums, he joined the Marcus Hook Roll Band. a band formed by one of his brothers.
In an attempt to look different from the rest of him, Angus took on a variety of costumes when he was on stage. He sometimes appeared in a Gorilla, Spiderman, or Zoro outfit, and also attempted a Superman parody called Super-Ang. He later performed on stage in his former school uniform.
With AC/DC, he released his album, High Voltage , which was also the group’s debut album. In the years that followed, the group embarked on tours and live performances while traveling through various cities, states and countries. They later released a few other albums including TNT , Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap , Let There Be Rock Formerly Powerage , Highway To Hell and so many more!
Currently the band has a few members of the crew and after the retirement of Malcolm Young, Angus Young became the oldest member of the crew. Meanwhile, the band has enjoyed many successes over the years and was also inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2003. In 2004, they were ranked 72nd on Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time while VH1 ranked the team 23rd on the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time and 4th on the 100 Greatest Hard Rock Artists list.
