Angus T. Jones’s biography, fact, career, awards, net worth & life story

Angus T. Jones is an actor who has a net worth of $20 million. Angus T. Jones is most famous for his role on the long-running television show Two and a Half Men.  At 17, he became television’s highest-paid child star in 2010, beating Miley Cyrus, Miranda Cosgrove, and even Selena Gomez.

At the tender age of four, Angus T. Jones began his acting career in television commercials. Jones first appeared on screen in the 1999 film Simpatico. He also appeared in several films between 2001 and 2003, including See Spot Run, The Rookie, and Bringing Down the House. In 2003, Jones was cast as Jake Harper, the “half man” of the title, a 10-year-old living with his divorced father and uncle. For the majority of its run, the show was the most popular television show in the United States, with an average viewership of around 15 million viewers.  From 2003 to 2013, and again in 2015, Angus was a regular on the show. Angus earned a whopping $350,000 per episode at the height of his career on Two and a Half Men, which translates to about $9-10 million per year when syndication points are factored in.

Jones’s character, Jake was given more adult storylines during the show’s ninth season, which ran from 2011 to 2012. as he was portrayed as a promiscuous and heavy marijuana user. He announced in November 2012 that he had been baptized and that he no longer wanted to appear on Two and a Half Men, describing the show as “filth” and claiming that it contradicted his religious beliefs. He also advised viewers to turn off their televisions. Jones’ opinions drew media attention after he appeared in a video on the ForeRunner Chronicles YouTube channel, an independent ministry run by Christopher Hudson. The next day, Jones clarified his position in a statement. The shows’ producers said he wouldn’t be back on set until 2012, and in April 2013, they downgraded him to a “recurring role” for season 11. He didn’t make another appearance until the series finale. Oddly, Jake, his character graduates from high school and joins the army in the final episode of Season 9.

He has received numerous awards including the  Carmie Award for appearing on The Rookie in (2000). He received the Best Performance in a TV Series: (Comedy or Drama) Young actor age 10 or younger (2004), Best Performance in a TV Series (Comedy) Supporting Young Actor (2006), and Future Classic award (2009).

He returned to school after leaving Two and a Half Men, majoring in Jewish Studies at the University of Colorado. He also works for Tonite, which is owned by Justin Combs, the son of hip hop artist and business tycoon Sean “P. Diddy” Combs. Since then, he’s also renounced religion, deciding that he didn’t want anything or anyone to be able to encroach on his right to say and do what he wanted, stating that “finding religion” was a phase he had been through in order to find himself.

Jones enjoys doing charitable work; he has worked for the First Star Organization, which assists abused and abandoned children, as well as the “Rock ‘N Roll Fantasy Camp.” Jones is a supporter of Be a Star, an anti-bullying organization co-founded by The Creative Coalition and WWE. He also uses his acting talent and celebrity to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. In 2008, he attended Variety’s Power of Youth benefit for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. For his work with the Big Brothers Big Sisters, he received the Rising Start of 2009 award. His assets and properties are not known in detail, but he is still wealthy. He currently lives with his mother and younger brother. He will be receiving royalties from the show, Two and a Half Men, for many years to come leaving his worth at $20 million.
