Angela Unkrich’s Wiki – Who is Alfonso Ribeiro’s wife?

Who is Angela Unkrich?

Angela Unkrich was born in Henry County, City of Winfield in Iowa, USA, on 4 February 1981 – her zodiac sign is Aquarius and she holds American nationality. She is a blogger and a housewife, who might be known best for being the wife of Alfonso Ribeiro, a famous American actor and TV show host.

Childhood and education

She was raised alongside her two brothers, Brendon and Tyson by their parents who owned a hog and cattle farm, on which the kids often helped, as there was always something to be done.

Angela studied at Waco High School, and was an avid diver having received awards and accolades such as All-State Performer, Conference Athlete of the Year and Outstanding Diver of Iowa – she was also a USA Diving State Champion. After matriculation in 1999, Angela enrolled at Northwestern University on a diving scholarship, and there became interested in creative writing, graduating in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies – she was also a diver for the university’s team, and did gymnastics.

Angela’s career

After graduation, Angela moved to Los Angeles, California where she started working as a script writer assistant, before becoming a diving coach, then went on to work as a private jet hostess.

After she gave birth to her first child, Angela created her website mymommyhoodtales.com, and has written numerous articles on it, all of which are in one way or the other related to children and raising them – she is a ‘stay at home mom’ (SAHM) and nowadays only ‘works’ as a writer for her own blog.

Love life and marriage with Alfonso Ribeiro

Angela and Alfonso Ribeiro were introduced by a mutual friend sometime in 2011, and started dating a couple of weeks later – after just over a year of being together, Alfonso asked Angela to marry him in June 2012. The wedding was held on 13 October 2012, attended by the two’s closest friends and family. In 2013, Angela gave birth to their son Alfonso Lincoln Ribeiro Jr. while their second son Anders Reyn Ribeiro followed in 2015 – their daughter Ava Sue Ribeiro was born in May 2019.

Angela hasn’t talked about any other men she might have been with, while it’s known that Alfonso was previously married to Robin Stapler, a non-celebrity woman, from 2002 to 2006 and they have one daughter together.

As of November 2020, Angela is married to Alfonso Ribeiro, and they have three children together.

Hobbies and other interests

Angela is very passionate about travelling, and by the time she became pregnant with her first child had already visited over 50 countries – today, her list counts more than 85 visited countries.

She is keen on cooking healthy food, and has shared her recipes and ideas in her articles.

Angela is even today physically quite active, as she works out at the gym several times each week, while she also plays golf, and loves summer because she enjoys swimming and diving in the ocean.

She is keen on watching movies in her spare time, and her favorite actor and actress are Jim Carrey and Natalie Portman, while a few of her favorite movies are “Ace Venture: Pet Detective – When Nature Calls”, “Bruce Almighty” and “Leon: The Professional”.

Age, height and net worth

Angela’s age is 39. She has long blonde hair and blue eyes, her height is 5ft 5ins (1.65m) and she weighs around 115lbs (52kgs). As of November 2020, Angela’s individual net worth is unknown, but her and Alfonso’s joint net worth has been estimated at over $7 million.

Who is Alfonso Ribeiro?

Alfonso Abraham Lincoln Ribeiro was born in New York City, USA on 21 September 1971 – his zodiac sign is Virgo, and he holds American nationality. He is an actor, game show host, film director, TV personality and a dancer, who might be known best for his portrayal of Carlton Banks in the comedy series “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”, created by Andy and Susan Borowitz, and which starred Will Smith, James Avery and Alfonso – if follows a poor man who starts living with his rich relatives in their mansion. The series aired from 1990 to 1996 and won 14 awards, while it was nominated for 26 others, including two Golden Globes.

Alfonso hasn’t shared much about his family, but it’s known that his paternal grandfather was Albert Ribeiro, a Trinidadian calypsonian who was known as ‘Lord Hummingbird’. Alfonso started acting at the age of eight, and was 12 when he became somewhat famous after his portrayal of the lead character in the Broadway play “The Tap Dance Kid” – his performance won him a nomination for the Outer Critics Circle Award. He went on to appear in a commercial for Pepsi alongside the late pop singer Michael Jackson in 1984, and in the same year appeared in the comedy series “Silver Spoons”.

At the age of 14 he wrote his first book – “Alfonso’s Breakin’ & Poppin’ Book” – and at the age of 15 released his first rap record – “Timebomb”.

From 1995 to 1999, he played one of the lead characters in the comedy series “In the House”, and went on to play small roles in movies and TV series for the following two decades, before being announced as the new host of the UK show “Money Tree” in October 2018. In 2019, he was chosen to serve as the host of the show “Catch 21”, and for his performance won a nomination for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host – the award went to Alex Trebek.

Most recently, in 2020 he appeared in several commercials for the insurance company group State Farm.

In December 2018, Ribeiro and several other people filed a lawsuit against Epic Games, creators of one of the currently most popular games in the world “Fortnite”, with Ribeiro claiming that they had ‘stolen his dance’ which he invented back in the 1990s and played in the series “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”. Alfonso was denied his copyright for the dance by the US Copyright Office, and thus dropped the lawsuit.
