He is the mastermind behind several digital series and has created, written and directed many. Some of his acclaimed works include, but are not limited to Honest Trailers, The ScreenJunkies Show, Man at Arms, Joke at FWD, and Super-fan Built
It is no surprise that his works have also been highly awarded by several award bodies and even among claims and allegations that threaten his career, Andy Signore is still one of the best at what he does.
Biography of Andy Signore
Andy Signore was born on August 15, 1979 in the city of Philadelphia, United States, where he also grew up. Without much information available about his background, it is a known fact that he has been interested in the act of writing and producing digital content since childhood and his works have always been unique. Seemingly a smart kid, Signore got good grades in school and graduated college in 2003 from Columbia College Hollywood, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. But what’s the essence of good grades and a quality education if you can’t put it to good use? Andy Signore wasted no time launching his career, signing a distribution deal with the country after writing, co-directing and starring in his first comedy feature.Caretaker.
While his career was still taking shape, he freelanced for IGN in 2009, then worked as a writer and producer at Current TV, and later as a producer and content developer at Disney Interactive. This lasted three months. At that time, Signore knew his talent lay in online content, so he put his all into it. Using his comedy brand, SecretSauceTV, he released hit music videos and later joined The Collective (Collective Digital Studios), where he worked as Director of Digital Content. At the Beverly Hills talent management and distribution company, he partnered with talents such as Kevin Nealon, Eddie Izzard, Garry Shandling, among others.
In 2009, Break Media secured their services and Andy Signore created, wrote and directed a series of hit singles including the highly acclaimed series/brand – Honest Trailers. It was also at the press firm that he premiered The Junkies Screen Show, Speakeasy with Paul F Tompkins and Man With Arms, all to rave reviews. Break Media then joined Alloy Digital in 2013 to form Defy Media. Signore retained his position, but this time as Vice President of Original Programming.
In recognition of his good work, the MTV Movie Awards awarded him Best Movie Spoof for his video United 300 in 2007 and he won. Again, his The Screen Junkies series was nominated for the Streamy Award in 2015. It was also on Variety’s 2013 comedy list.
Net value
From the above, it is quite clear that AndySignore did not finish his studies at the top of his class without putting his talent to good use. His passion for creating and producing videos has really had a huge impact. He has also been rewarded for his works which have earned him honors and there is no credit whatsoever, he also receives financial rewards. Nonetheless, he hasn’t been generous with the details of his net worth.
His wife
He married his wife, Miranda Signore, in 2016 and they have a son together. Miranda is an actress and a cinematographer and has worked with her husband on several occasions. Both men have been living calm and stable lives since their marriage, but that might not be the case if the accusers pointing fingers at Andy Signore have anything to go by.
Where is Andy Signore now?
An unfortunate turn of event leads to Defy Media’s Andy Signore and it all has to do with the multiple women who spoke out in October 2017 about the sexual harassment they had suffered from the director in the past. These women have notably worked with Andy on the Screen Junkies channel. As a result, Signore lost his job and didn’t bother to make a public statement to refute or apologize. It has gone unnoticed ever since.
