Andrew ‘Andy’ Goldstein (born 11 June 1973 in London, England) is a British television and radio presenter who now works for talkSPORT. He hosted Soccer AM on Saturday mornings, replacing Tim Lovejoy, who had previously taken over as co-host of Soccer AM’s All Sports Show in 2004, but barely lasted a season due to widespread criticism. In 2007, the All-Sports show came to an end. Goldstein also hosts Sky Sports coverage of the Premier League Snooker, 9-Ball Pool (including the Mosconi Cup), and the Weber Cup for 10-pin bowling. With addition to presenting, Goldstein has dabbled in acting. He was the primary character in a series of TalkTalk commercials that aired before Big Brother 5 in 2004. Goldstein presently anchors Andy Goldstein’s Sports Bar, a talkSPORT radio programme that airs Monday through Friday from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. The programme originally aired Monday through
Thursday, but when George Galloway left the station, it was expanded to five evenings each week. Goldstein is also an average pool and snooker player, having defeated Steve Davis in a feature on the All Sports Show, claiming Davis’ MBE, OBE, six World Championships, and Mosconi Cup triumph. The caption on the screen stated ‘Andy Goldstein OBE MBE’ while presenting the next week’s All Sports Show. He goes by the moniker ‘Galeforce,’ and challenged badminton star Gail Emms to a showdown in 2012 over the exclusive use of the term after Emms claimed she was the first to use it.
