Andrew Lahde Net Worth: Andrew Lahde is an American businessman and former hedge fund manager who has a net worth of $500 million dollars. Born in 1971, Andrew Lahde earned a finance degree from Michigan State University and his MBA from the University of California at Los Angeles. He developed his hedge fund, Lahde Capital, in Santa Monica, California, and attracted attention when he earned returns near 1000% for his clients. Lahde claimed his strategy was built primarily on his strong understanding of the real estate market and, in particular, residential real estate. He closed the fund in 2008 because of credit issues, penning an open good-bye letter to his investors. Lahde’s letter instructed investors to take advantage of Yale and Harvard grads who had their educations paid for by their parents, condemned the lifestyles of the rich, and criticized capitalism. In the letter’s conclusion, he outlined his plan to legalize hemp in the United States.
