His first name is Michael Cameron Anderson and he entered the world on July 17, 1987 under the sign of Cancer. He was born in Athens, Alabama and grew up in a home where gospel music was the order of the day. Although the identity of his family members is not known, it is written that his grandfather was a preacher at the Baptist church. His father was a member of the church choir while his mother was proficient as a church pianist. He first worked with Holly Williams – strumming guitars, voicing harmonies and playing for her. His debut album titled Closing Credits for a Fire was released in 2009 under the name Mike Anderson. His EP titled Fire Demos came as Anderson East and Broken Heart Flowers which came as his second self-produced album was released in 2012. The album dropped as two individual discs, the first recorded with the session players in Los Angeles and the next recorded in Nashville.
His first major label record was titled Delilah -Elektra Records hit the stand during the summer of 2015. Anderson also made recordings at a legendary recording studio in Muscle Shoals known as FAME Studios. His recordings included guest artists such as Chris Stapleton and Jason Isbell.
He was part of Fifty Shades Darker Soundtrack in 2017 with the song What Should It Take which he wrote in collaboration with Aaron Raitiere. The song is number 1 on the US Billboard 200. People and US Weekly have confirmed that Anderson is romantically involved with Miranda Lambert, a famous country singer. It’s unclear where they met and when they first started dating, but Anderson East collaborated with Lambert on his album titled The Weight of These Wings which was released in 2016. The duo co-wrote a few songs titled Well rested and Getaway Driver which were part of Lambert’s 2016 album.
Anderson East was also part of another of his songs called Pushin Time where he provided the background vocals. When Lambert was honored with a Grammy Award, they walked into the AMC as a couple, but according to Vine, they are no longer together.
