Analeigh was born Analeigh Christian Tipton on November 9, 1988 in Minnesota, United States.
She spent her childhood in Minneapolis, and when she was eight, Tipton and her family moved to Sacramento, California, where she grew up.
Tipton went to school in Placerville and attended Marymount College, Palos Verdes.
She started skating at age two and a half and competed in four United States Synchronized Skating Championships. Later, she and her pair partner, Phillip Cooke,became a two-time regional champion and competed in the U.S. Junior Figure Skating Championships twice at the juvenile level.
Tipton gave up competition at the age of 16, but continued to participate in charity ice shows to benefit AIDS foundations and to rebuild a fire-damaged ice rink.
In 2008, Analeigh appeared on Cycle 11 of the US Model Next Top. She finished third in the competition.
Prior to America’s Top Model, Tipton signed with I Model & Talent in Los Angeles and walked the runway at Los Angeles Fall 2008 Fashion Week for designer Kelly Nishimoto for her Fall 2008 Imasu collection.
Tipton has signed with Ford Models in Los Angeles and Abrams Artists Agency, in the commercial and theatrical divisions.
She also appeared on Marie Claire, December 2008-January 2009 edition of Seventeen magazine, multiple pages spread throughout Maximeand Vogue. She has also featured in commercials for Forever 21 and Guess.
For the love of writing, she decided to turn her back on modeling and began studying film at Marymount College in Palos Verdes, California.
