Who is Amy Bruni? Wiki Bio
Amy Bruni was born in Sacramento, California on 10 July 1975, so her zodiac sign is Cancer and she holds American nationality. She is a paranormal investigator, and a TV personality, who has gained recognition portraying herself on TV, most recently in the reality series “Kindred Spirits” since late 2016
Childhood and education
Amy was raised as a single child in Sacramento, by her father who is a paranormal investigator, and her mother who is a writer – the family was living in a haunted house (for those who believe it).
Amy’s father took her to many houses while he was working, which were allegedly haunted, so Amy became interested in becoming a paranormal investigator at a very early age. She was six years old when she saw her first ghost, as the two were standing face to face and the ghost was wearing green clothes – after her father asked around, it was believed that the ghost was the son of the people who lived there before them, and who died during World War II.
She attended a local high school, where she was physically active playing soccer and volleyball, and was interested in history and geography.
After matriculating in 1993, she decided not to enroll at a college, but to focus on her career.
Career as an actress, TV personality, and other ventures
Amy started working for a health insurance company, and changed several positions during her time there, but after being offered work as a paranormal investigator, she left her prior job without giving it much thought. She subsequently travelled all around the US to investigate alleged haunted houses, and later started working together with a paranormal investigation team in Sacramento, before she joined The Atlantic Paranormal Society based in Warwick, Rhode Island which has been operating since it was founded in 1990 by Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson.
Amy worked together with Jason and Grant on their show “Beyond Reality Radio”.
In 2004, Amy starred in the thriller paranormal series “Ghost Hunters”, while the series is still running today and stars Jason Hawes, Steve Gonsalves and Grant Wilson. There is a single one-hour long episode coming out each week, and the series follows several real paranormal investigators in (supposedly) haunted places across the US. In 2016, Amy starred in the reality paranormal TV series “Paranormal Lockdown”, which also starred the show’s creator Nick Groff, Katrina Weidman and James Lurie and which follows paranormal investigators spending three days locked in haunted places, attempting to find evidence strong enough to prove the existence of ghosts.
In 2012 after giving birth, Amy launched her own travel company Strange Escapes, focused on examining places with haunted backgrounds in the US. Her company is keeping her busy and travelling, and Amy has also visited several European countries after being invited to check for paranormal activities at places in countries such as England and Austria.
Most recently, Amy has appeared as herself in 31 of 41episodes to date of the reality TV series “Kindred Spirits” since late 2016, which also stars Adam Berry and Chip Coffey, and follows Amy and Adam as they visit those who believe that ghosts are haunting their homes.
The two then try to contact these ghosts, and gather evidence which would prove that the house is indeed haunted. Amy has also served as the show’s producer.
Love life and relationships
Amy has been keeping the details of her love life away from the media’s curiosity, and not so much is known about her husband. She is referring to her man as Jimmy while he appears to be better known as ‘Mr. X’ – a rumor has it that the two met after Amy was invited to check his house for ghosts.
They dated for over four years before marrying in 2012 at a small ceremony attended by only the two’s closest friends and family. On 11 October 2012, Amy gave birth to their daughter Charlotte, and it’s believed that Amy has already taken her daughter working with her, and that Charlotte is interested in becoming a paranormal investigator just as her mother.
Before meeting her mysterious husband, Amy was in a long term relationship with a man whom she had known since childhood, however, they allegedly split after four years of being together because the man was unfaithful.
Hobbies and other interests
Amy enjoys drinking good alcohol, with mature wine being her first choice, while she is also keen on drinking beer and cocktails. One of her main hobbies is searching for rare items in antique stores – she often turns stores upside down until she checks everything they have to offer, and whether or not they have anything paranormal-related.
Summer is her favorite season, as she enjoys taking a break from work and laying on a beach with a glass of wine in her hand, tanning her skin, or taking a swim in the ocean.
She is a lover of animals with her favorites being cats and foxes.
Amy likes to watch movies in her spare time, and some of her favorite actresses and actors are Angelina Jolie, Julia Roberts and Leonardo DiCaprio, while some of her favorite movies are “Tomb Rider: Lara Croft – The Cradle of Life”, “Runaway Bride”, and “Inception”.
