At a very young age, Amiyah realized that she is a female soul trapped inside a male body and expressed her heart to her parents about how anxious she felt. She underwent her transgender surgery at the age of 15 without her parents’ blessing and at 17 she was fully female. She found it very difficult to face her parents without her acceptance, so Ella Amiyah moved out of her parents’ house to have an independent life. Avoiding all of society’s criticism of her, Scott went on to start her career in modeling, acting, and dancing. Gradually, Amiyah became famous and was best known for her makeup and fashion sense. Scott also mentioned that she was inspired by the style of Rihanna and Lil’ Kim.

Amiyah Scott: Career

First of all, Amiyah Scott landed a role on the hit reality series “Real Housewives of Atlanta” for 4 weeks. She had an interest in returning to reality television so she could be herself instead of pretending to be someone else. In one of her interviews she said; “When you’re on scripted television, you’re playing a character. But I want to show people who I am. In 2016, Lee Daniels gave her the opportunity to play the role of Cotton, a transgender woman for the drama series “Star”. She has also been one of the best, if not the best, and fans of hers would agree. In the series, she had to get away from her mother’s life as she couldn’t accept the image of her. Star’s second season began in September 2017. In addition to acting, she is also a makeup artist, model, and event host.
