Aminu Jaji, the director of contact and mobilisation for Tinubu-Shettima’s presidential campaign in the North West, has claimed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is not to blame for the current state of insecurity in the country because it inherited it.
During a news conference in Gusau, the state capital, Jaji, a former Chairman of the House Committee on Intelligence and Internal Security and a 2019 APC gubernatorial aspirant in Zamfara State, made these remarks.
The ex-lawmaker said that the APC-led administration under President Muhammadu Buhari has done everything in its power to address the issue.
Jaji added that he was convinced the APC would win and keep the presidency in the upcoming 2023 election and that Zamfara State would also be given to the APC.
“I am very optimistic that APC would retain its seat at the national and state levels. If the APC presidential candidate is elected in 2023, he will make Nigeria and Nigerians very proud.
“I am sure that Senator Bola Ahmad Tinubu will take the issue of insecurity as his number one priority and tackle it appropriately.
“We know that the APC-led government inherited the security challenges, and the party has done everything within its power to tackle the problem,” he remarked.
Jaji added that the APC government discovered an oil well in Gombe State under Buhari’s presidency.
