Amelia Dimoldenberg is an English journalist, comedian, YouTuber, and television presenter who was born on January 30, 1994. She created the web series Chicken Shop Date, in which she interviews rappers, grime artists, and other YouTubers in fried chicken restaurants. In her interviews, she is known for using sarcasm, deadpan humor, and awkward silence.
In 2018, Dimoldenberg presented the Channel 4 documentary Meet the Markles, in which she traveled to the United States to meet members of Meghan Markle’s family; The Telegraph called it “an entertaining ride slicked by moments of real hilarity” and the Evening Standard described it as an “instant hit”. She appeared in an episode of The Big Narstie Show the same year, alongside David Haye, Rachel Parris, Krept, and Konan. In October 2018, she appeared as a “roving reporter” in the first series of ITV2’s hip-hop-themed comedy show Don’t Hate the Playaz.
The show was nominated for a Royal Television Society Award in the category of Entertainment. Dimoldenberg did not appear in the second season, which premiered in the fall of 2019.
