Ambjaay Uno

Uno is one of the most sensation rap songs in US 2019 and has set the upcoming rapper in a good position for more excellence. In the video, the 19-year old Jaay flips the recognizable “parents go away so let’s throw a house party” trope by setting it in a Tacos Mexico restaurant that becomes an after-hours club when the boss goes home. It fits that it takes place in a recognizable SoCal taco joint and not just because of the track’s Spanish words or use of Latinx themes, also seen on YG’s recent radio hit “Go Loco.”

Uno is an L.A. working-class song made to loosen you up around congested freeways and feel okay after spending that much on post-shift cocktails. There’s no mention of designer sneakers or foreign cars outside of ambjaay telling us his “Mexican bitch drives a Beamer” in the original, full-length version. Once he finishes the necessary disapproval, even the restaurant’s owner throws on a hat and grabs a couple of styrofoam cups because of the drums’ weightless pull. It’s the kind of rhythm that necessitates movement even if that’s not really your thing. Like the rest of his catalog, Ambjaay is light and festive here, bouncing between ass-shaking instructions and lines about assault rifles that feel more humorous than lethal.

Ambjaay Uno Lyrics

Ay, let’s a party, homes[Ambjaay] Invite all the bitches
Hundreds and fifties, big ol’ bitties, ay?
Uno, dos, no tres, you heard me?
Ay (Almighty) Ambjaay
Ay, it cost to live like this, you heard me?

Uno, dos, no tres, she a thot, though
We got bitches shaking ass in the lot, though
Big chop knock a nigga out Zapatos
Still getting queso like nachos
Uno, dos, no tres, she a thot, though
We got bitches shaking ass in the lot, though
Big chop knock a nigga out Zapatos
Still getting queso like nachos

Hit it from the back, then I tell her, “No más”
She a freak, had to tell a bitch, “Hola”
Bend it over, I want your panocha
She calls me Papi, I hit it with no socks
She likes, “Jay, can I get some dick, por favor?”
I’m like “Yeah, take it out, close the door”
Chopper go block, yeah, we fin’ to up the score
And peel a nigga back like a fuckin’ orange[Ambjaay]

Uno, dos, no tres, she a thot, though
We got bitches shaking ass in the lot, though
Big chop knock a nigga out Zapatos
Still getting queso like nachos
Uno, dos, no tres, she a thot, though
We got bitches shaking ass in the lot, though
Big chop knock a nigga out Zapatos
Still getting queso like nachos[ Ambjaay]
