The DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that the victim, Peter McGrath, was 36 years old. Homicide has been defined to be the cause of death.
His wife, Amber McGrath, told Matt Johnson of Channel 2 that “he did not deserve what happened to him.” He was a devoted parent. He was a very remarkable person.
Despite having been married for four years, McGrath and his wife have been friends for their entire adult lives.
The couple had their youngest child just six months ago. According to his wife, McGrath appreciated having a big family after growing up as an only child.
Amber McGrath stated, “We had great ideas and big plans.” They were just quickly taken from us. ” She added, “He has children he’ll never get to see mature. My children no longer have a father. ”

The main cause of the death of Peter McGrath was the explosion of his working van. According to the people living nearby, his van was on the street for a long time before they heard an explosion.
At around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, DeKalb police discovered Peter McGrath on Mecklinburg Place in Decatur, close to Towers High School.
McGrath ran his own locksmith business, and according to his wife, he had just accepted a call for a job in Decatur the previous evening at 8 o’clock.
McGrath reported, “I never heard from him again.” He left via that door. He has vanished forever. She said, “I do believe in my heart that he was targeted and set up.” When they called my husband, “The people who did this knew what they were doing.”
