Although the company’s association as an advertiser is new to MNF, it has shown and invested in its interest in American football fields for a long time in college football.
Meanwhile, Disney has largely benefited from the advertisers and sponsors during the MNF coverage. NFL ratings are rocketing and In 2022, the games drew 19.8 million views which is the largest figure of viewers since 2009.
Agreement with the insurance company was a part of the network’s plan to extend opportunities for new clients who want to display or broadcast ads amidst the network’s coverage of the MNF.
From the games airing on Monday Night, in 2021 Disney recked in $318 million from the in-game ads which was an 18% increase as compared to that of the 2020 season.
Allstate College Football FG Net
This is one of the most acclaimed, most effective, and iconic advertising programs in the history of college football and Van Wager played an important role in its inception.
The attempt was an iconic answer to questions often raised by advertisers how can they get enough television exposure on such a wide field of college football?
For decades, the company has been a prominent sponsor of college football games. It was the idea of Van Wager in 2005 who proposed to carry out the most effective advertising campaign through signage display and was named Allstate Field Goal Nets Program.
The plan was introduced where the field goal nets were to be painted with a “Good Hands” icon which provided a revolutionary idea for the advertisers to place their brand in the most visible space of the field and that will get enough TV exposure around the world.
