Tom Craine’s Wife is confused for Nat Luurtsema, but he is happily married to Clare Collyer. The couple is blessed with two sons.

Nat Luurtsema is a BAFTA award-winning screenwriter, director, and actor. For eight years, she was a stand-up comedian, writing material for TV and radio and performing globally.

Her debut short film received a BAFTA nomination, and she has subsequently written and/or directed four more.

She is now working on four feature projects, as well as routinely collaborating in comedy writers’ rooms and producing her own TV comedy-dramas.

Who Is Nat Luurtsema? Is The Comedian Tom Craine’s Wife?

Nat Luurtsema is an award-winning stand-up comedian, author, radio host, and comedy writer. She is frequently referred to be the wife of comedian Tom Craine, however, they only dated for around three years before splitting up.

As of now, Tom is married to his wife, Clare Collyer, and is blessed with two sons.

Luurtsema is one of the three members of the highly renowned  Radio 4 sketch ensemble Jigsaw, along with Dan Antopolski and Tom Craine.

Tom and Nat met when their train from Southampton to London broke down, trapping them with passengers. It included members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and their instruments.

After only three dates, they decided to live together. However, following their breakup, they washed their dirty laundry in front of crowds at the Edinburgh festival fringe on a regular basis.

The duo, who are members of a comedy sketch group, were staging competing in solo standup performances in 2013 on how their three-year love affair ended.

Craine, from Bath, concurs that the separation has hampered their capacity to collaborate. He believes it is only conceivable since both sides want the breakup.

“I like to think it will be OK, but I would not encourage starting a sketch club with your ex as a method of getting over them.”

However, following the breakup Nat got engaged in films and writing. She wrote and starred in the 2014 BAFTA-nominated short film Island Queen.

She then wrote or co-wrote/directed five more short films: Three Women Wait For Death, Wyrdoes, War Paint, Ouzo and Blackcurrant, and Revenge Is A Dish, all comedies or horrors supported by Film4, Babycow, Film London, Big Talk Pictures, Creative England, and the British Arts Council.

All of these are BAFTA-nominated, and now available on Amazon Prime.

According to her website, ‘Nat is working on a number of feature films as a writer and/or director.’ They are all comedy or horror films in the early phases of development.

Nat also writes short tales, for which she has received nominations from the Royal Academy of Art and the V.S Pritchett Royal Society of Literature for Short Story of the Year.
