Abba Kyari’s wife Ramatu Kyari created a scene when she collapsed at Federal High Court in Abuja. She was later identified as the wife of the suspended DCP on charges of drug trafficking.
Abba Kyari, aka Abba Alhaji Kyari, is a Nigerian police officer on suspension.
He has been deprived of all police duties pending the conclusion of an internal inquiry into his alleged ties to Gucci King- a popularly reputed fraudster Ramon Abbas “Hushpuppi.”

Abba Kyari’s wife Ramatu Kyari came to the sight for the first time when she slumped on the floors of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Ramutu was later identified as a black hijab-wearing woman of middle age.
On Monday, Mr. Kyari and his co-defendants appeared in court for the trial judge, Emeka Nwite, to hear their bail application.
The fall of Mr. Kyari’s wife, on the other hand, came after the judge adjourned the case until March 28 to consider the bail applications.
The Inspector-General of Police confirmed Abba Kyari’s suspension from duty on August 1, 2021.
The suspension came at a point pending an inquiry into his role in the Hushpuppi scandal.
On February 14, 2022, a video of Kyari was released in which he negotiated the release of the seized 25 kg cocaine in exchange for $61 400 in cash.

The agency informed the court that if Kyari were released from detention, he would flee the country and be unavailable for trial.
The judge subsequently delayed the case for further consideration.
Previously, the Abba Kyari’s two co-defendants pleaded guilty to some of the drug trafficking accusations leveled against them.
Abba Kyari Jail Sentence, Where Is He Now?
Abba Kyari is still in jail, awaiting bail for the Federal court in Abuja.
There is speculation that he might flee the country if he is granted bail.
The NDLEA charged Abba Kyari and six others with conspiracy, obstruction, and cocaine trafficking on Monday, March 7, 2022.
Usman Baba, the Inspector-General of Police, delivered the Kyari investigative panel findings to the Police Service Commission in December 2021.
In 2000, Abba was enrolled at the Police Academy in Wudil, Kano State.
Abba graduated as a cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
Kyari was sent to the Adamawa State Police Command for a one-year required attachment in the Song Police Division.
Subsequently, Abba worked as a Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) in Numan, Adamawa State, and as Unit Commander 14 PMF Yola.
