Alicia Silverstone Siblings: Meet Kezi Silverstone, David Silverstone

Alicia Silverstone concentrated on theater and independent productions throughout the 2010s. She did act more recently than she had in the previous ten years, though. She played the same part again in Daniel Sullivan’s Broadway production of Time Stands Still in 2010.

Silverstone’s performance received favorable reviews from critics and was dubbed “a breath of fresh air” by Sullivan. Silverstone, according to the New York Times, “brings warmth, actorly intelligence, and delicate humor.”

She filmed a brief scene for the independent comedy sequel Elektra Luxx (2010), however, her scene was deleted from the finished product.

Silverstone was the teacher of a senior at a private school in Manhattan in the teen romance drama The Art of Getting By, which had its world premiere at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.

She also played the adoptive mother of a 12-year-old African American girl competing in a regional competition for butter sculpture in a rural Iowa town in the ensemble comedy Butter (2011).

The film was shown at numerous film festivals but only had a little release. Silverstone reconnected with Clueless director Amy Heckerling in the independent film Vamps (2012), in which he played one of two vampires who fall in love and must make a choice that could jeopardize their immortality. She was in Time Stands Still when Heckerling saw her and handed her the part.
