Alex Short, age 27, is the Owner of Stag Cleaning, a Commercial Cleaning Company based in Hertfordshire. He founded STAG Commercial Cleaning Services in May 2016. The company has “grown steadily to become an established cleaning contractor for both the residential and commercial construction sector throughout England,” according to the company website.
He previously worked as a Consultant for ALS Recruitment from August 2012 to 2015 and Assistant Football Coach for Arsenal Football SchoolArsenal Football School from April 2009 to June 2010. He graduated from The Broxbourne School, according to his Linkedin profile.

Alex Short is a contestant on the hit BBC One show The Apprentice. The Apprentice 2022 contestants will be competing to win a £250,000 investment from Lord Alan Sugar for their business venture. Former The Apprentice winner and entrepreneur Tim Campbell will join Lord Sugar and Baroness Karren Brady in the boardroom for the 16th edition of the BBC One reality series. Claude Littner, who has appeared on the programme since 2015, had to pull out after an accident in 2021.
With big goals for his commercial cleaning business, Alex is driven, focused and is “not going to stop” until he gets where he wants to go. Despite leaving school after the first year of sixth form and encountering a few hurdles along the way, he is now on the way to tripling his turnover – which he views as the “most impressive” thing he’s done in business, so far.
“I would compare myself to a Ferrari, shiny on the outside but under the bonnet, there is a lot of fire and I’m coming for you.”
