She is widely known as the New York Times bestselling author of 18 crime novels, including ‘The Ex’, ‘The Better Sister’ and ‘The Wife,’, and two series including ‘Dead Connection’, ‘212 ‘ and ‘Long Gone. She is also known for her books being translated into more than a dozen languages.
Alafair was nominated for an Edgar Award for Best Novel for her book, ‘The Ex’ in 2017. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Reed College, in Portland, Oregon.
