American actor Alvaro Joshua Lamas was born on December 19, 1983.
Lamas is most known for his roles as Cisco Gonzalez on American Family, Simon McCrae on Gigantic, and Rafael Ortega on As the World Turns. On the E! reality series Leave It to Lamas, he also made an appearance alongside his family.
Lamas received two awards from the International Model & Talent Association in 2001: Model of the Year and Young Adult Actor of the Year.
At the 60th Golden Globe Awards in 2003, he shared the title of Mr. Golden Globe with Dominik Garcia-Lorido, Andy Garcia’s daughter.

In 2012, Lamas was charged with breaking into the residence of his ex-girlfriend (Jessie Schulman) and imprisoning her there. Schulman requested a restraining order, stating she ended her relationship with A.J. and started a new one.
