AJ Lamas (Alvaro Joshua Lamas) is an American actor born on 19th December 1983 in Los Angeles County, California, U.S. He is best known for his role as Rafael Ortega on As the World Turns and Simon McCrae on Gigantic. He was also a star on his family’s reality TV show ‘Leave it to Lamas’.

His parents are Lorenzo Lamas and Michele Cathy Smith. His father, Lorenzo Lamas, is an American actor and martial artist best known for his role as Lance Cumson, the irresponsible grandson of Angela Channing on the 1980s soap opera Falcon Crest.
His mother Michele Cathy Smith, was his father’s publicist and later turn into an actress acting in thr 1992 American mystery crime-thriller film, Consenting Adults.

Lamas is the older brother of actress and reality star contestant of the Bachelor Shayne Lamas and Dakota Jordan Pike who began competing for pageants at an early age and is also a musician. Her first single was featured on the beginning and closing season finale of her family’s reality show ‘Leave it to Lamas’.

AJ Lamas Girlfriend
AJ had an affair with, Shauna Sand, his father’s second wife. His father during an interview with Wendy Williams said:
“The two things that my son and ex-wife decided to do was to have an event that they both knew was going to hurt me to the core of my being and it was successful.It absolutely destroyed me emotionally. I couldn’t talk to my son for two years. I didn’t know how to fix that, I was so shocked and upset and stunned and hurt that I didn’t know how to fix it.”
He was in a relationship with Jessie Schulman but they later separated. In 2012 he was accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home and trying to lock her and her new boyfriend in a bathroom before being convinced to leave. Lamas denied the incident saying he was only trying to talk to Schulman and work out their relationship.
AJ Lamas Arrest
In September 2015, according to TMZ, was charged with theft, child endangerment, battery and possession of drug paraphernalia. On 8th September he was taken into custody and had a meth pipe on him.
He had tried to walk out of a Target in the Van Nuys suburb of Los Angeles with a wrench, clothes and tennis shoes and had reportedly punched a security guard while holding a baby in his arms and briefly got away before being apprehended at a nearby hotel.
In 2012 he was charged and pleaded guilty to a DUI and was sentenced to 36 months’ probation and $1,600 in fines.

In 2001 he was awarded Model of the Year and Young Adult Actor of the Year from the International Model & Talent Association. In 2003 he was also Mr Golden Globe.
