Before becoming a prosperous businessman, he was a train clerk then (1911).

Adil received an OBE in 2016 and was recently named the founding Patron of Birmingham’s new Screen and Film School.

He intends to use the £30,000 scholarship to “open the door for someone who might think the film and television industry is closed to them.”

Adil also serves as the Patron of Acorns Hospice in the Black Country, which isn’t his only charitable endeavor.

Although it’s unclear if Adil owns any animals, he has been known to dog-sit Robin, a lovely puppy.
