Nils Erik Adam Larsson, a Swedish professional ice hockey defenseman with the Seattle Kraken of the National Hockey League (NHL), was born on November 12, 1992.
In the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, the New Jersey Devils picked him with the fourth overall pick.
Larsson, who was the first defenseman and the first player with European training to be picked in 2011, was the youngest player on the Skellefte AIK roster at the time of his selection.
For Larsson, the 2009–10 Elitserien season was a stunning breakout year. On October 15, 2009, he scored twice against Timr IK in an Elitserien match.
With 17 points at the end of the season, Larsson equaled Tomas Jonsson’s record of 8 goals and 9 assists in 35 games from 1977-78 for the most points by an under-18 defenseman in a single season in Elitserien.
