Kelis’ management team verified the tragic news of Mike Mora’s death in a statement to ET. Mike received tributes from a number of Mora and Kelis’ friends.
Evan Ross, an actor, and singer announced the news on Instagram and paid tribute to Mora. Ross concluded his tribute to the photographer by wishing Kelis and her family well.

Mike’s relatives and friends may be going through a difficult period as a result of Mike’s death. One of the most emotional pain is the loss of a loved one.
Mike has been diagnosed with gastric adenocarcinoma, a type of stomach cancer that is stage four.
In 2020, just after he and his wife Kelis moved to a farm outside of Los Angeles, he began to feel acute stomach ache.
He said his symptom was “Loss of appetite” and “backache”. At this moment, our thoughts are with Kelis, her family, and all those who know and love Mora.

Sheperd, their first child, was born in 2015. They welcomed their second child, a daughter named Galilee, in September 2020.
