Is Jeremy Strong Jewish?
No, Jeremy Strong is not Jewish. Fans have confused him with being Jewish as he has brought in a Jewish character in his show.
In HBO’s “Succession,” Adrien Brody plays millionaire Jewish capitalist Josh Aaronson.
Josh was born in 1991 and grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia. For American Jews, it was a secure and affluent time and place.
So, other than a few passive-aggressive remarks, he never encountered antisemitism. But anytime he informed an absolute stranger to the Jewish world that he was Jewish, an unprompted notion passed through his head. Even when conditions are good in the United States, Jews walk around with a sense of dread.
That was the plot of a recent episode of HBO’s “Succession,” a highly praised parody about a Rupert Murdoch-like family with a multibillion-dollar media empire.
“He’s not playing it like a comedy. He’s playing it like he’s Hamlet.”
