Erin Brockovich’s net worth, biography, fact, career, awards and life story

Erin Brockovich net worth and salary: Erin Brockovich-Ellis is an American legal clerk and environmental activist who has a net worth of $10 million. Erin is probably best-known for being the subject of the 2000 autobiographical movie which bore her name and chronicled her fight against PG&E. Erin Brockovich was born on June 22, 1960 in Lawrence, Kansas. Her fight against the energy company PG&E (Pacific Gas and Electric Company) garnered worldwide attention when her story was turned into a 2000 biography film which chronicled her fierce efforts in the case. The film starred Julia Roberts as Erin. Despite her lack of formal education in law, Brockovich was largely instrumental in building a case against PG&E of California in 1993, which she accomplished by partnering with a reluctant attorney by the name of Edward L. Masry, based in Thousand Oaks, California. The case alleged contamination of drinking water with hexavalent chronium in the southern California town of Hinkley. The case was settled in 1996 for $333 million, the largest settlement ever paid in a direct-action lawsuit in U.S. history at that point. Since that time, she worked other cases with Masry, such as a lawsuit that was levied against the Beverly Hills Unified School District in 2003, in which the district was accused of harming the health and safety of its students by allowing a contractor to operate a cluster of oil wells on school grounds. She is the president of Brockovich Research and Consulting and works as a consultant for Girardi & Keese and the New York law firm of Weitz & Luxenberg (which focuses on personal injury claims for asbestos exposure), as well as Shine Lawyers in Australia. She authored the book Take It From Me: Life’s a Struggle But You Can Win in 2001.
