A Glimpse Of Rachel Homan Family Pictures From Their Holiday Celebration

Rachel Homan family has a son Ryatt Mitch Germain and daughter named Bowyn Germain. Rachel married Shawn Germain on September 10, 2016.

Besides, Germain also had a brief stint in his career as a former ice hockey player who played for the Rosetown Red Wings. After retiring from the rink, Germian began to take over the head coach role with the North Eastern Alberta Jr. B Hockey League’s St. Paul Canadiens.

On the other hand, Homan began competitive curling at 15 and made her regional debut in 2007. She claimed her first provincial championship in 2011 and won her first Canadian Women’s Curling Championship, known as the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, in 2013.

In addition to her triumph in 2013, Homan has won three additional Scotties Tournament of Hearts championships in 2014, 2017, and 2021.

Rachel Homan Married In Las Vegas

Homan had an opulent wedding in Las Vegas in 2016. Rachel Homan first met husband Shawn Germian in December 2014.

It’s been six years since the couple married and started living in Beaumont, Alberta, with two beautiful children.

While scrolling down their Instagram page, Germain uploaded a picture with Rachel while celebrating Christmas in Ottawa in 2014. It’s the first photograph he posted on his Facebook.

When they were dating, Germian was a hockey player who spent a season with the Chinook Hockey League champions. The Canadiens alum also played for the Junior B squad from 1999–2001.

Germain, who started as an assistant coach with the team in the 2018 season, is currently the head coach of the St. Paul Canadiens.

Inside Rachel Homan Destination Wedding Photos

Rachel and Shawn had their wedding in vegas on September 10 of 2016.

Homan could not wait to post a ceremony photo on her Instagram page, highlighting their first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Germian.

Moreover, the only picture she shared from her ceremony was posted on February 15, 2017, with the phrase “love.” The bride wore a strapless lace bridal gown at the ceremony, while the groom wore a tuxedo.

Furthermore, six months before their glorious nuptials, Germain shared a photograph with his followers announcing their September 10, 2016, wedding in Vegas.

He expressed his pleasure at finally reciting the vows with the love of his life by posting a photograph of their pre-wedding photoshoot.

Moreover, Rachel and Shawn are seven years apart in age. Her husband, born on October 5, 1982, is 40 years old, while Rachel will be celebrating her 34th birthday this April.

Homan Giving It All To Raise Two Kids

Rachel Homan has two children named Ryatt Mitch and Bowyn Germain.

Homan was pregnant in February 2021 waiting to have a baby girl. She played in the Scotties final before giving birth and winning a Grand Slam final.

In June 2019, Kanata-born curling star and her husband, Shawn, welcomed their first child into the world, per her Instagram page.

Ryatt Mitch Germain was born two weeks early, on June 14, weighing six pounds, two ounces. He weighed around one-sixth the weight of a curling rock.

Being a busy skip, 33-year-old Homan didn’t spend much time on the sidelines throughout her pregnancy, which appeared to coincide with the curling season.

While pregnant, Homan led her foursome to the Scotties’ final against Kerri Einarson. Less than a month later, Homan gave birth to her daughter, Bowyn Germain, on March 25, 2021.

The initial plan was for Homan to miss the two Grand Slams while in the Calgary bubble, which was a realistic expectation given that the first tournament, the Champions Cup, was scheduled to begin only three weeks after Bowyn was born.

She claims they had two doctor’s visits with Bowyn before departing for the bubble to verify her health, and they were given the all-clear to bring her into the bubble.

Homan makes it clear that she couldn’t do it without the help of Germain, their two moms, and a supporting cast that has kept Homan curled throughout it all.

Homan Was Born and Raised In Ottawa

Rachel Homan parents are Catherine Homan and Craig Homan. Rachel’s older brother named Mark Homan who is also a curler.

Her dad is originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and graduated from Colonel By Secondary School.

Craig has also been a supportive father, attending his children’s games. As the parent of a goalie and a skipper, Craig has shared his opinions on both high-profile sports.

While talking to the CBC, Homan stated that he finds his daughter’s curling more challenging than his son’s hockey game. Rachel’s brother Mark was a junior goalie in Ottawa.

He had driven several kilometers between curling rinks and hockey rinks.

Apart from this, Homan’s mom and dad have parted ways, as evidenced by their social media profiles, which show them with new partners.

Catherine’s relationship status on Facebook is married, with a date of November 13, 2018.

She has been in a relationship with Malcolm Morton since 2015. Malcolm is an Ottawa local who attended South Carleton High School before attending Algonquin College. He was employed at Condominium Management Group.

Her dad, Craig’s Facebook page has a profile picture of him with a partner uploaded to his page on September 1, 2012.

Similarly, his Facebook friends have placed comments beneath the post praising them as a “lovely pair.”

There are alos photos from Rachel and Shawn’s vacation with their children on her social media page.

Also, their two gorgeous babies, Ryatt and Bowyn are frequently seen with their parents at the rink.

On the other hand, her grandfather, Gerry Homan, has helped her spark her curling dream. Gerry was a navigator with the Royal Canadian Air Force.

As reported by the CBC, Rachel shared a close bond with his grandfather, who was an avid curler throughout his life.

He was Rachel’s biggest fan but could not watch his granddaughter’s first-ever Scotties, as a couple of months ago before her game, Homan passed away on April 1, 2011.

Jesse Jackson’s net worth, biography, fact, career, awards and life story

What is Jesse Jackson’s Net Worth and Salary?Jesse Jackson is an American civil rights activist and Baptist minister who has a net worth of $9 million. Jackson is a prominent civil rights activist, United States shadow Senator, and the creator of the civil rights organization Rainbow/PUSH.? Compare Jesse Jackson’s Net WorthEarly LifeJesse Louis Jackson Sr. was born in Greenville, South Carolina, on October 8, 1941. His mother was 16-year-old Helen Burns, and his father, Noah Louis Robinson, was her 33-year-old married neighbor. The year after Jackson’s birth, his mother married Charles Henry Jackson, who later adopted him as a child. After the adopted, Jackson’s surname was changed to that of his step-father, but he also continued to maintain a relationship with Robinson, and considers both men to be his fathers.EducationJackson grew up under Jim Crow segregation laws, and attended Sterling High School, a racially segregated school in Greenville. There, he earned many achievements, including finishing tenth in his class, getting elected student class president, and lettering in baseball, football, and basketball. After graduating from high school in 1959, he chose to attend the University of Illinois on a football scholarship, instead of signing the contract he was offered by a minor league professional baseball team. After only two semesters at the University of Illinois, a predominantly white school, Jackson transferred to North Carolina A&T, which is a historically black university in Greensboro, North Carolina. There, he excelled, and not only played the position of quarterback on the football team, but was elected student body president and was active in local civil rights protests against segregation. Following his college graduated in 1964 with a B.S. in sociology, he received a scholarship to attend the Chicago Theological Seminary to study for a master’s degree. However, he dropped out in 1966 so he could focus all of his time and energy on the civil rights movement. Later, in 2000, he was awarded a Master of Divinity Degree based on his previous coursework and life experience.Civil Rights ActivismJackson is a member of the Greenville Eight, a group of eight Black Americans that participated in a sit-in at the white-only Greenville Public Library in his hometown of Greenville, South Carolina, on July 16, 1960. All of them were arrested for “disorderly conduct”, and were bailed out by his pastor. Later, he began working for Martin Luther King Jr., and King was so impressed by him that he gave him the responsibility of establishing a frontline office for the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) in Chicago. In 1966 James Bevel and King then appointed Jackson to be the head of the Chicago branch of Operation Breadbasket, the SCLC’s economic arm. The following year he was promoted to national director but eventually resigned from the SCLC to found a new anti-racism and anti-military oriented organization called Operation PUSH (People United to Save Humanity). Through PUSH, Jackson carried out numerous projects for the Black community, including the launch of the PUSH-Excel program for motivating teens and children to succeed.Political CareerIn 1984, Jackson launched a Democratic presidential campaign. He campaigned against Walter Mondale and Gary Hart in the Democratic presidential primaries. He was only the second black person to ever mount a nationwide presidential campaign as a Democrat, after Shirley Chisholm. In 1988, he tried again to win the Democratic presidential nomination. This time around, his campaign was more organized and better funded. At one point, after winning 55% of the vote in the Michigan Democratic caucus, he was actually considered to be the front-runner for the nomination. However, he lost a series of primaries to Michael Dukakis, and ultimately lost the nomination. During both campaigns, his platform remained mostly the same, and was what was considered to be a highly liberal platform that focused on things like cutting the Department of Defense budget, creating a single-payer healthcare system, ratifying the Equal Rights Amendment, providing free community college to all, supporting the formation of a Palestinian state, and re-prioritizing the War on Drugs away from mandatory minimum sentences for drug users, among other points. Early on in his career he was an outspoken pro-life advocate, but has since changed his views to that of pro-choice, and less government interference in women’s decisions.Despite losing his two attempts to campaign for the presidency, Jackson did eventually serve in political office though. From 1991 to 1997, he served as the “shadow senator” for the District of Columbia. This unpaid position’s main responsibility was to lobby for statehood for the District of Columbia. Later, he backed Democratic candidate Bill Clinton during his presidential campaign, and was a key ally in influencing African-American voters to give Clinton their support. In the 2008 presidential election, he supported Barack Obama’s campaign, and was seen in tears before Obama’s speech at his victory rally following his victory on November 4, 2008. In the 2016 presidential election, Jackson endorsed the Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, and in the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries he endorsed Bernie Sanders.Other WorkIn addition to his career in activism and politics, Jackson also served as the host of the show “Both Sides with Jesse Jackson” on CNN from 1992 to 2000.Personal LifeIn December 1962, Jackson married Lavinia Brown. They have five children together: Santita (born 1963), Jesse Jr. (born 1965), Jonathan Luther (born 1966), Yusef DuBois (1970), and Jacqueline Lavinia (1975). In 2001, his affair with staffer Karin Stanford was revealed. The affair resulted in the birth of a daughter, Ashley (born 1999). As of 2001, Jackson paid $4,000 a month in child support. In November 2017, Jackson was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
