6 BDC operators held for ‘kidnapping’ 8-year-old

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested six Bureaux de Change personnel for the alleged kidnapping of an eight-year-old child.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesman, confirmed the arrest on Tuesday via his verified Twitter account, which was monitored by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Hundeyin stated that the suspects conspired to abduct their colleague’s child.

“The child, whose hands and feet were bound in a sack, was released three days later.

“Preliminary investigation reveals that all the suspects are fellow BDC operators in the same business district of Lagos,” he said.

According to him, the suspects will be charged once the investigation is complete.
