Eric Chang was from Malaysia and went missing between March 4 to March 7 while he was in the care of his babysitter. The mother of the missing kid Dynasty Chang Kha Hui reported the missing case to the police on March 9 according to The Star.
On March 13, police reclassified the case as murder after earlier investigating it for neglect or abandonment under the Child Act. Police also launched a search operation for Eric on March 13 but the search was abandoned on March 19.

Eric Chang Missing Update: Dead?
Missing boy Eric Chang is sadly dead as of now.
He was killed by his babysitter and her husband and the body was dumped into the river at Muara Tebas according to The Star.
The boy was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and black pants near Taman Riverview Lorong 2 as reported by Dayak Daily.
On the night Eric was reported missing, Kapitan of Taman Riverview Chung Chong Chong had led a team of over 10 Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) members to search for the boy.
He was not found even though the team covered all of the nearby residential area and industrial areas.
Why Is Eric Chang Babysitter & Her Husband Arrested?
Eric Chang’s babysitter and her husband have been arrested in charge of Eric’s murder.
His babysitter Chai Xue Zhen and her husband, Ling Kok Liang were charged today under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which provides for the death penalty upon conviction according to Free Malaysia Today.
The two remain in police custody since March 12 to assist the police in further investigation but the case was classified as a murder case after the two allegedly claimed that Eric’s body had been dumped into the Sarawak River.
Chai and Ling also faced five charges each under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, for which they had outstanding warrants of arrest according to The Borneo Post.

Eric Chang was born to his parents Dynasty Chang Kha Hui and his father.
The name of Eric’s father has not come to the surface yet along with his occupation.
Chang’s parents are devastated after their child went missing and is suspected murdered by his caretakers.
