Michael Vanzandt’s disappearance in March 2016 has been a mystery as no lead whatsoever about his whereabouts has been found till now.
Michael was originally from Jackson, Michigan, residing in Lancaster, California, for some years. He went on a vacation with his friends in Hermosa Beach, California, from where he went missing.
Michael was an Air Force veteran who worked as a Unit Training Manager at the Edwards Air Force Base. he met his wife Krishain while on a mission to Japan. They were co-parenting three children, Keaton, Jayden, and Kyleah.
Mike is 190lbs and 6′ tall. He has blonde hair and a muscular build. He has three tattoos, a small Budda on his back, a tiger on his left shoulder, and “KEATON” in descending letters down his left calve. He was last seen wearing a charcoal-colored sweater with no logos, a white undershirt, jeans, and red vans!
36-Year-Old Michael Vanzandt Missing Since 2016
Michael Vanzandt went missing from Hermosa Beach, California, on March 5, 2016. Despite numerous search attempts, Michael has not been found till now.
The 36-year-old was last seen on CCTV footage at 11:27 pm in Hermosa Beach’s waterfront Pier Plaza. He was on a weekend trip with friends to watch the UFC fight. He left the group at a bar called American Junkie at 10:15 pm and went to Roberts Liquid next door. It was the last time his friends saw him.
His phone died at 10:30 pm, and upon further investigations, its records showed that he was in the area until that time. After his disappearance, neither his phone nor his credit or debit cards were used again.
Police located the Air Force veteran’s car Sunday morning at his hotel. The car remained the way it was when he left it there.
The case was featured on the Investigation Discovery Channel documentary show Disappeared in the episode Just Out of Sight. The May 2018 episode chronicled the strange mystery of the vanishing of Michael.

As of 2022, nothing leading to the whereabouts or wellbeing of Michael Vanzandt has been found. After six years since his mysterious disappearance, the 36-year-old remains missing.
The police made numerous attempts to locate Michael, all in vain. His family is still without an answer to whether he is alive or not. His brother, Tyler Vanzandt, is still actively searching for his brother.
A Facebook group, FIND MIKE VANZANDT, has posted regular updates on the search processes to find Michael. People worldwide share their respect for the search attempts and encourage the authorities and family not to give up.
According to California law, a missing person for five years can be declared “Legally Dead.” On the fifth anniversary of his disappearance, Tyler informed that the family was moving on with the painful and heartbreaking process.
Michael Vanzandt And Wife Were Going Through A Divorce
Michael Vanzandt and his wife Krishain were going through a divorce when he disappeared from the face of the Earth. Reportedly, after a mutual decision that they could not live together, the couple separated in 2014.
The Air Force veteran met his future wife Krishain while on an assignment in Japan. The two married in 2001 and were parents to three children; two sons, Keaton and Jayden, and a daughter Kyleah.
Although the marriage did not last long, Michael was a dedicated father who loved his children very much. He was planning to move into a new home at the time of his disappearance.
Some online theories claimed that Michael’s disappearance was due to his rocky relationship with Krishain. However, his family and friends have since disclaimed those wild theories.
